Kinitics Secures Over $2.25 Million in Project Funding to Accelerate Industrial Decarbonization
Kinitics is thrilled to announce a significant acceleration in our mission to electrify and decarbonize industrial infrastructure. With a combined $2.25 million in new project funding, we are poised to make a major impact on reducing industrial emissions. This support comes from two key contributors in Canadian innovation: $750,000 from NorthX in addition to advisory services and funding of up to $1,529,300 from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program’s (NRC IRAP) Clean Technology initiative.

This funding is dedicated to a groundbreaking research and development project to advance Kinitics’ zero-emission, all-electric actuator technology. This technology is a direct, drop-in replacement for the methane-venting pneumatic devices widely used in natural gas operations.
By eliminating methane leaks at the source, this innovation will not only significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and safety for our partners in the energy sector. With more than 261,000 of these devices across Canada needing replacement by 2030, the market opportunity is substantial.
We are proud to be one of four companies selected by NorthX for its latest round of non-dilutive investments in breakthrough decarbonization technologies.
As NorthX CEO Sarah Goodman stated, “Industrial decarbonization is one of the most important and complex opportunities in the global energy transition. These companies are developing the kinds of hard tech solutions that can transform how major industries operate, reducing emissions while strengthening economic growth and long-term climate competitiveness.”
“This is a huge milestone for Kinitics,” said our CEO, Dean Pick. “We love digging into hard engineering challenges, and this support means we can really hit the gas on our R&D and get the next generation of our actuators ready for the field. It’s a huge win for Kinitics and for the future of clean industrial automation in Canada.”
“As the world moves towards sustainable energies, businesses that can deliver cleaner, more efficient technologies will lead. Clean technology is a major driver of economic opportunity, and Canadian innovators are developing solutions that cut emissions and open new markets. Investments in companies like Kinitics are how we build a modern economy, create high-quality jobs and new opportunities for Canadians in the clean energy sector,” said the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions
At Kinitics, we believe the future of industrial infrastructure is fully electric, ultra-reliable, and highly precise. With the incredible support of NorthX and NRC IRAP, we are more confident than ever in our ability to turn this vision into reality and help build a smarter, cleaner ecosystem for Canadian industry
