Kinitics Automation Selected as One of Ten Finalists for Energy Startup Competition at ATCE 2025
Kinitics Automation has achieved a momentous milestone—being selected as one of only ten startups competing in person at the prestigious Energy Startup Competition, held within the Startup Village during the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) 2025 in Houston, Texas, USA. The high-stakes competition is set to unfold on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Launched in 2017 as part of ATCE’s Startup Village—a partnership between the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship—this competition showcases the most innovative energy technology companies globally. Only ten primary finalists (plus two alternates) make the in-person cut, granting them exclusive access to networking, mentoring, and visibility among industry leaders.
On the day of the competition, each company—including Kinitics Automation—will have a tightly choreographed 7-minute pitch followed by a 7-minute Q&A with a panel of venture capitalists, angel investors, and key upstream energy industry stakeholders. The format puts innovation, clarity, and technical impact front and center—ideal for Kinitics to highlight its breakthrough valve actuation technology.
Following the presentations, winners will be celebrated at an awards ceremony hosted alongside the incoming SPE President.
As part of the broader ATCE programming, the Startup Village competition is woven into a full day of engaging events—from strategic panel discussions to exhibit hall activities and networking receptions.
For Kinitics Automation, this opportunity marks a significant step in its rapid ascension as a leader in zero-emission valve actuation. Already distinguished for its selection in the 2025 Rose Rock Bridge cohort and its $100,000 grant for U.S. market expansion, Kinitics now takes the next leap—competing on a global stage among peers pushing the frontier of clean energy technology.
Stay tuned as Kinitics brings its innovative Shape Memory Alloy–powered solutions to ATCE 2025 in Houston this October—a showcase of ingenuity, purpose, and energy transformation.
